Who Am I?

Hi, I’m Mallory Miller (she/her/hers). As a mental health therapy intern at Metamorphosis Counseling, I’m excited to provide a fresh, dedicated, and highly supportive space for you to begin your journey to better mental health. I believe that therapy should be accessible, grounded, and deeply human.

I’ve experienced mental health concerns from several angles, including behavioral neuroscience, research on preferences and psychology, and as a mental health technician in a psychiatric emergency center. I look forward to continuing to develop my skills in a therapy setting, and I’m excited to meet you!

I love working with:

  • “First-timers”: If you’ve been curious about therapy but not sure where to begin, I provide a gentle, low-pressure introduction to the process.

  • The overwhelmed and anxious: Anyone navigating worry that won’t stop, daily stress, or burnout.

  • Those who aren’t sure what they need, but just need support: Anyone looking for a collaborative partner to help them build their toolkit for emotional resilience and clearer communication.

How I Help

Seeing an intern offers a unique advantage: you get the energy and up-to-date research of a fresh clinician, backed by the expertise of a seasoned supervisor. It’s like having two sets of eyes on your goals, ensuring you receive the most thoughtful and effective care possible.

I use an integrative approach that focuses on your individual needs. Because of my background, I’ve developed a nuanced set of skills, allowing me to provide a quiet, calming presence to anyone in need. In our peaceful, private office space, we can work through the symptoms of anxiety or depression and start building a foundation of healthy, sustainable coping skills.

What it’s like in a session with me

In a session with me, you’ll find a focused and grounded human, eager to learn more about you and help you determine the best path for your unique mental health journey.

Because I have a smaller caseload than most established therapists, I am able to offer a high level of focus and flexibility to my clients. We’ll work together to identify the patterns that are making you feel stuck and practice new ways of responding to stress. You can expect a session that feels structured yet fluid—a place where you are truly heard and equipped to take your next steps with confidence.
